So, you’ve decided on your holiday and it is going to be a combined land/cruise experience. So, what should you do next? Go on holiday and enjoy yourself, remembering that you still have keratosis. Indeed, a beach/cruise holiday is almost made for someone who has keratosis because it allows you to control all the aspects of the trip.
For example, if you plan a flight to the Caribbean and then a beach/cruise package, you can work with the firms that are offering the trip, explaining your circumstances to them, and then you can arrange to have the time of your life while still recovering from your bout with keratosis.
The trip planners will be happy to help you with your need for time in the sun without actually being in the sun. For instance, they will likely help arrange a beach-front room with veranda and shade trees so that you can go out of your room, be at the water, and yet remain totally out of the sun. It’s much like a cabana, but better, since it also combines your room into the package.
And, if you should decided to take a stroll downtown for some shopping, while you are in the beach phase of your trip, your vacation planning team will work with you to provide you with the transportation you need downtown so that you stay out of the sun and, if you play your cards right, you might also be able to have them drop you right where you want to be so that you never have to be out in the sun at all.
If you do want to take a bit of sun, then remember that you must still used a broad-brimmed hat for cover and that you will still have to use a long-sleeved, airy outfit to keep you cool and comfortable while you take your brief sojourn in the sun.
The sun is the downfall in this whole issue because it can undo all of the good work that you’ve done to lighten up your skin and control your keratosis.
Once you’ve finished the beach-front part of your holiday and you shift to the ship, it even become easier because the ship offers you all of the venues you want and you never have to go out into the direct sun, if you don’t want to. For instance, most major cruise ships offer an indoor pool that has all of the fun of the outdoor one except you don’t have to worry about the sunlight. And, if you want to take take a walk there are covered decks with views of the sea all around the ship that let you have your air and comfort, too.
Again, remember your keratosis when you are planning your holiday as there is no reason you cannot have fun and recover at the same time.
